About Kilcreggan
We have worked in and with IS organizations for more than 30 years. Our focus is in manufacturing, distribution and service/support organizations. A significant portion of our experience comes from working with companies regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), where software validation imposes special constraints on how software is designed, developed and implemented.
Our perspective on software specification and design is heavily influenced by our experience with software implementation and support. For example, in addition to assisting clients in selecting ERP systems we have also had responsibilities for implementing, upgrading and supporting these large scale systems. Inevitably such systems require interfaces to other, incompatible systems and we have both designed and implemented such interfaces. With other clients we have designed applications from scratch, both to automate manual processes and to replace currently installed applications that have outgrown their usefulness.
It is this range of experience that has enabled us to accumulate the methods that are described on the Methods and Techniques page.
Our mission is simply stated: find the right solution for the client. Our company name is taken from the village of Kilcreggan, which is situated on the north bank of the River Clyde in Scotland and looks south to the town of Greenock, the birthplace of John Nisbet, Kilcreggan's founder . The distinctive blue and green of the Kilcreggan logo represent the juxtaposition of the hills, water and sky of the surrounding area.
